Small reviews on movies i'm watching this year and i'm going to write down every one of them. i want to watch more movies !!!
I have a cinema pass that allows me to go to the cinema every day if I want to for €19 a month hehehe. But i also watch some stuff online obviously.
only watch this movie if you like a lot of insane drama and screaming in
almost every scene of the movie where the maincharacter gets himself
into only more trouble doing everything for becoming a pro at table tennis.
it was too overwhelming to me.
but i was also thinking it's interesting that this movie breaks the
stereotypical character arc. u don't always have to like the mc in a movie.
but therefore it feels like a constant loop of showing the same stuff about his
personality in different occasions. will it end well? just watch it.
this movie raigebaited me so hard ngl, but i feel like a lot of other people
will like it anyway.
insane backgrounds, insane character designs.
the story was kinda mid. i just got mostly confused about it.
mc gets forcefully married to the princess of the ocean because she wanted
to marry him so bad for some reason. and then the mc used her for his own
success as a boatinnovator, it seemed, (his boss also wants to make a better business
connection with the king of the ocean) and he was also mean to her too while
she was trying so hard to be a good wife to him. blegh, old timey households suck.
it's quite hard to argue about the story without telling
spoilers, because the drama will make sense at the end of the movie.
everything will make sense at the end, i can't spoil it, you have to watch it yourself.
i really want to debate with people about this more because i'm still confused.
there are a lot of different views on this movie so far.
But apart from the story the movie really focused a lot on the environment
and it was soooo beautiful. even if the story is ??? i just want to keep
looking at it. they had a lot of shots where they just showed parts of the
environment while people were talking and used close-ups on random objects.
visually they succeeded so well. and obviously the animation was goated.

Best fucking shortmovie ever omygod.
currently i'm attending this animation festival to watch TONS
of movies. Today i've watched the first screenings and it was
quite a ride. This one in particular is SO FUCKING AWESOME.
please go watch it at festivals or when they've uploaded it online.
this animation is the first ever animation ive ever watched in my
life where i would get the chills from in a scary way.
it's quite hard in 2d animation to make horror scary. But here
they managed to do it. the way how they keep up the suspension
and how they connect the horror aspects are just perfectly timed,
together with the music.
my new obsession tbh. i want to watch this so many times.
also, why are the french always insane with making animations
like gods, it makes me kinda mad tbh.

silly nice movie. but also fucked up. i do like the random stuff
like the art teacher showing a really weird artsy video and a
random guy being annoying towards the shop owner and an old man
waiting at the busstop for ages. makes me want to think about the
small things in life tbh. i like silly random things like that in movies.

i saw this on the cinema's website that they would screen it today.
the movie was alright. the acting was pretty good it felt like
a documentary a little bit. also because there was no music and
the camera was shaky, following the characters from a certain
distance. the story itself is also pretty sad. a woman gets a
divorce and meets a thief, who more or less drags her along in
his wake. she remains dependent on others and making her own
choices is not something that comes naturally to her.
but it's very human, it's reality. we can't always have a
succesful confident character in a story.
while watching i suddenly got dizzy and a headache it was weird.
it wasn't because of the movie. My headache ruined the experience.
but anyways, This film gained prominence as a figurehead of
American feminist cinema. and the director played the maincharacter
in there. so i'm glad she got recognition in this harsh movie
world in the 70s.
I was just curious because BBC banned it before broadcasting it.
They definitely find it too brutal to be broadcasted on tv.
The entire movie is just showing brutal phycological competition
in dominance between the inmates inside a borstal, while the people
who try to keep these kids in there won't do a thing and play
along with astablishing power over them. everyone is beating
eachother up. gang-rape and suicides are shown in there with
more assaults. While watching the movie, a wave of sadness took
over me man. I wish they all went to a better place than this
to heal andbecome better people.
i'm not really into dark humor but there are some funny
moments in there. but on the other hand i got a little
uncomfortable by the people who laughed their brains out to
someone getting beaten up really bad in a fucked up way.
Mads Mikkelsen did a great job again ofcourse. I haven't
watched many of his movies actually.
I think this is the third one i've seen from him.
i like it when there are characters who hated eachother first and then start to accept and learn
from eachother. but i forgot a lot of stuff so i have to watch it again
it's just sad. poor girl.
i cried 3 times omygod. it's such a great feel good movie.
you can also feel how fashion has such a hard impact on someone's mood, identity and self.
